Final Exam Exemption Policy

Dear Parents,

As part of our ongoing commitment to promoting academic excellence and recognizing outstanding achievements, we are pleased to announce the implementation of a Final Exam Exemption Policy. This policy is designed to reward students who meet specific criteria by granting them the opportunity to be exempt from final exams in eligible subjects. Please note that this exemption does not apply to National Identity subjects: Arabic Language, Islamic Studies, and Saudi Arabian Social Studies.

This initiative aims to acknowledge students who demonstrate consistent academic excellence, exemplary behavior, and active participation within the school community. It also seeks to reduce exam-related stress, enabling students to dedicate their time to personal projects, academic interests, or preparation for future academic endeavors, thereby supporting their holistic development.

Final Exam Exemption Criteria

  1. Academic Performance:
  2. The student must achieve a 95% or higher in coursework for the second semester in the subject from which the exemption is being requested (excluding National Identity subjects).
  3. All assigned tasks—including assignments, homework, assessments, and projects—must be submitted on time. Late submissions or incomplete work will result in point deductions, which may impact eligibility.
  4. Attendance, Punctuality, and Discipline:
  5. Students must arrive punctually for the start of the school day. Morning assembly begins at 7:15 AM and the first class begins at 7:30 AM. Repeated tardiness or early dismissal without a valid, approved excuse may lead to ineligibility.
  6. Absences are only permitted with valid justification, such as:
    • Documented health issues (with verified medical documentation).
    • Bereavement due to the loss of an immediate family member.
  1. Active Participation in School Activities:
  1. Students must consistently participate in school activities and events.

  1. Behavior and Ethics:  -Students must adhere to the school’s code of conduct and consistently demonstrate respectful and ethical behavior.                                                                                                                                                  -Any misconduct toward peers, teachers, or school staff will result in immediate disqualification from the exemption.
  1. Evaluation Process:
  2. Eligibility will be evaluated by teachers, supervisors, and the school administration.
  3. Students must demonstrate full mastery of subject-related skills and competencies to be considered for exemption.

Important Notes

  1. This policy applies to students in Grades 5 through 12.
  2. It will take effect starting from the second semester of the 2024–2025 academic year.
  3. Students who qualify for exemption will be notified 2–3 days prior to the start of final exams.
  4. For exemption eligibility in future academic years, students must achieve 95% or higher in the first semester of each subject (Excluding National Identity subjects), in addition to maintaining the same level of performance in the second semester.
  5. The school reserves the right to review, modify, or revoke this policy for any grade level or academic year at its discretion.

At Children’s World International Schools, we are confident that implementing this policy will serve as a powerful motivator for students to strive for academic excellence, uphold exemplary behavior and ethics, and actively engage in school life and develop self-discipline, responsibility, and commitment in their educational journey.

Thank you for your continued support and cooperation.
